Chris Mullineux

Chris was introduced to the world of wine while studying accountancy at the University of Stellenbosch. Twelve years, two degrees, and several local and foreign harvests later (he saw through the establishment of Tulbagh Mountain Vineyards and its first few harvests, and will consult there for a while), he’s happily setting up a small winery in the Swartland. Together with his wife Andrea, he works closely with a handful of the Swartland’s most interesting grape growers to source grapes with the aim of making wines that truly reflect the environment in which they grow.

In his spare time, he sources grapes and makes wine for the tiny negociant producer The Three Foxes.

In his remaining spare time he reads like a man possessed, travels constantly, is tempted by the odd glass of fantastic wine, and sleeps at the end of each day like a hibernating bear.
