Raising charitable funds and awareness in the UK
27 September 2007

The Pebbles Mega Party

Coinciding with the high-profile Mega Tasting, arranged by Wosa in London for 8-9 October, South Africa’s Pebbles Project charity is holding an equally top-notch fundraising and awareness event in the British capital. The very active charity raise funds for its work with children affected by alcohol.

The Pebbles Mega Party is scheduled for Tuesday, October 9 at Aragon House, 247 New Kings Road, London. Plenty of dancing, good drink, gambling and social mixing and other pleasures have been promised by the organisers.

Pebbles was established in 2004 to offer support to children with special educational needs, particularly those whose lives are affected by alcohol in some way, in the Western Cape of South Africa. The organisation works closely with several wine farm owners, who support its work and assists with the upliftment of their farm worker communities and the education of the workers' children. Pebbles also aids township crèches, helping staff to identify and support children with learning difficulties.
